A new study has noted that taking vitamin D supplements will not prevent heart attack or stroke, although it could protect against heart failure in older individuals. Researchers noted a lower risk of dying from cardiac failure among seniors who took a daily supplement. The findings are published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
